About Daron McDaniel
I moved to Merced County when my father was a part of the management team that opened Merced Color Press. We fell in love with this community and have been proud to raise my family in Atwater, start a business, and support athletic programs throughout our region.Our county is rich in agriculture, hardworking folks, and a strong sense of community. For several years, however, these have been tested through a deep recession and housing crisis. There has never been a greater need for county leadership to focus on the job of rebuilding our fragile local economy.After several decades of working in both private and government positions, as well as owning a small business, I have the blended experience to understand how government can be a partner. not a burden in job growth.I would like to hear your ideas on making Merced County a better place for all of us. Ensure county law enforcement is maximizing efforts with local police to ensure overwhelming response to combatting crime, gangs and drugs. Work with local school districts and community based groups to provide more intervention programs for our youth and at risk populations. Invest in long promised infrastructure projects.
