As the Policy & Strategic Communications Lead for CG-R55, I serve as the principal advisor on Reserve strategic messaging, internal and external communications, and force readiness policy alignment. My role supports enterprise-level efforts to shape, synchronize, and communicate the Coast Guard Reserve’s value, direction, and priorities in support of Force Design 2030 and broader Service objectives.Key responsibilities include: • Leading strategic communications initiatives to amplify the Reserve Component’s mission, policies, and capabilities across the enterprise. • Advising senior leadership on messaging strategy, workforce engagement, and Reserve integration efforts. • Developing and refining policy documents, strategic plans, congressional briefs, and high-level correspondence. • Coordinating with internal CG offices, DHS stakeholders, and external partners to ensure unified and impactful messaging. • Supporting Reserve workforce transformation efforts through storytelling, content development, and outreach campaigns. • Managing knowledge products, talking points, and digital media strategies to enhance situational awareness and stakeholder understanding.This position combines strategic vision with operational insight to champion the evolving role of the Coast Guard Reserve and strengthen its impact across all domains.
