I lead an interdisciplinary team of investigators on research focused on understanding the role of the gut-brain axis in regulating metabolism and the side affects of obesity therapeutics such as bariatric surgery and GLP-1-targeted drugs. I am Associate Director of the Nutrition Obesity Research Center, Co-director of the Junior Faculty Program in the Department of Pediatrics, and Director of Faculty Wellbeing for Research Faculty in the Department of Pediatrics. I am an NIH-funded investigator with over 120 peer reviewed publications.
