ABOUT DARIO MASCALI

I started at the age of 21 as process engineer developer on CMOS flash memory process. After almost one year spent in Agrate Brianza site, where I had the opportunity to develop my competencies with training on the job, I came back to Catania site and I joined the Catania Central R&D group. I worked on wet etch process and resist removal process: this gave me the opportunity to develop a good knowledge of the whole process.Then after a company reorganization i joined Automotive Group (APG at that time) and I started my activity as Product Engineer. I had to reinvent my position, but the good knowledge of FAB process gave me the opportunity to built a new figure inside the team. Since the beginning I was the interface between division and FAB and I had the opportunity to develop new competences on testing, EWS, assy and Final Test. I was appointed as Product Engineer reference for technology and process transferData analysis started to be one of the main activities i focused on: i invested my time in learning a new data analysis tool and I was a reference for this tool for Catania site. I become a trainer, the training was an official training tracked in the company system: I trained more than 300 colleagues mainly in Catania and Bouskoura among different division, not only automotive one.I was part of the team that developed a new analysis tool, SPL tool (Statistical Parameter Limit) and a was appointed as business owner of SPL tool. As reference for the whole company I managed the training and the specific needing among the different product groups of the company. I was involved on new analysis techniques and methodology with multivariate analysis algorithm (PLS-DA and SVM) with machine learning features, and I began to increase competences on problem solving adopting these new instruments.
