About Darin White

Specialties: My company is a design, build & install provider for visual environments. I also consult w/ materials & process manufacturing & source projects. I work w/ artists, galleries & museums, architects, designers, builders and contractors by collaborating on creative projects, evaluating the visual aspects of each venture and recommending the best solutions. I provide products such as artwork, art event programing, curating, display cases, custom furniture and lighting, visual merchandising, thematic elements, props and casework. Interests are connecting, collaborating, art, curating, design, consulting, museums, galleries, art writing, networking, sales, purchasing, materials & processes. I grew up around manufacturing, in my father and grandfathers point of purchase display company started in 1956. My grandfather designed and built machines for the firm as needs he saw in machinery were not available. My father has worked in this industry since 1970, and is extremely knowledgeable in materials and processes. My interest in art lead me to a degree in Sculpture. While finishing school I started a clothing company for rollerbladers and skateboarders with my brother Brian who is now a worldwide marketer, graphic designer and web developer. With my father and my wife\'s help I started a business for store displays and fixture that has developed into what it is today. I help connect the art, design and concept into reality through design, manufacturing and installation. I am the co director of an arts organization and have been producing, curating and juroring art exhibits, projects and events. I am sculpting/drawing and showing my work on a regular basis. I write and illustrate for magazines/publications and guest spot a monthly radio show to promote Final Fridays in Lawrence, KS. My goal is to develop spiritually, creatively and relationally with those I am in contact with and to encourage, connect, promote and call out the best in myself and others.
