Lead an 8-member team of engineers (both on-site and remote) in the design of new software aimed at ensuring global regulatory and data privacy compliance for Meta\'s new Reality Labs division—centered on building the unique set of hardware devices needed to power the company\'s bold \"Metaverse\" vision • Currently leading development of the Reality Labs Consent Platform, ensuring the company\'s VR devices and applications are in compliance with hundreds of specific laws around the world regarding user information collection—including for different age groups; the new platform will shift all of the related logic to a new service that can dynamically create the correct consent content no matter where the user is in the world, saving of internal developer hours over prior methods • Collaborate closely with attorneys and compliance managers as part of the above project, as well as to create additional new tools/infrastructure aimed at decreasing further regulatory burdens faced among various cross-functional department teams
