ABOUT DARIAN TARVER
I am a Communication Studies junior at the University of Maryland with hands-on experience in collegiate athletics through roles in the Maryland Athletics Sports Business Office and Strategic Communications. My work focuses on supporting the business, operational, and storytelling functions that drive successful athletic programs beyond competition. As a former Division I student-athlete, I bring a unique perspective that connects athlete experience with organizational strategy, brand communication, and fan engagement. I am interested in careers that sit at the intersection of sports, media, and business, including athletics administration, sports communications, and athlete development. Through internships, academic training, and industry networking, I am building a professional foundation in content strategy, organizational communication, and the business operations that sustain modern sports programs. I am motivated by opportunities to contribute to teams and organizations that value culture, preparation, and long-term impact within athletics.
