I lead a team of security/application architects that work for Cyber Security Application Testing Engineering. CSATEng is the team that runs and implements scanning based controls across the entire organisation bot on-premise and in the four major could provider.(AWS, GCP, Azure, AliCloud)• Drove a previously failed microservice based pre-prod testing application through governance by “bringing order out of chaos,” securing stakeholder buy-in and conditional approval to be certified for production status conditional on the implementation plan.• Designed the replacement for the above application that would host multiple services to end user clients as a micro service environment in Kubernetes(GCP) with shared services amongst the customer facing service which are all available via UI and API.• Designed a preventative image-validation control for pipeline API access, API schema and DB layers—integrating with ServiceNow for exception management SLAs and ensuring offline resilience for out-of-hours operation using a hub and spoke model. Built using FasAPI, Python and Postgres.• Architected and delivered a core vulnerability-aggregation platform (200 M+ data points): de-duplicated feeds, applied HSBC-specific scoring and SLAs, exposed data via APIs to allow for business reports and down-stream internal customer facing application—winning against 7 bids and launching in 9 months using Mode 2 practices.• Developed a weighted algorithm to consolidate internal/external vuln feeds, stabilizing severity scores and guarding against overnight risk spikes.• Created the overarching architecture for enterprise-wide container and source-code scanning applications and automated IDE and pipeline based SAST scanning.• Designed the replacement for the core production internal user facing application that allows teams to view their vulnerabilities and SLAs for remediation.• Designed replacement applications for legacy applications for vulnerabilities and threat management.
