I am building expertise in the conduct of controlled feeding trials; clinical trials that address numerous aspects of type 1 diabetes care including weight management; bioinformatics methods that integrate metabolomics and transcriptomics data with clinical data; and metagenomic analysis of the intestinal microbiota. I participate in all aspects of study design and implementation, from grant writing to study oversight, data analysis, and dissemination through manuscript authorship and interactions with the broader scientific community and lay press.
