Since leaving full-time education in 1983, I have been employed within the procurement departments’ of a variety of different companies, and therefore have over 40 years experience in procurement. I am a senior procurement specialist who has managed his own departments, set up and recruited for new departments and also provided a project management service. I also have experience of managing change and drafting and implementing procurement strategies.I have been involved in the procurement of a wide variety of goods and services and have been employed within both the private sector (19 years) and the public sector (21 years) and have a detailed understanding of the latest EU procurement legislation. I have been providing my own consultancy service to the public sector during the last 15 years.
