This BART Oversight Committee reviews BART\'s program to rebuild its aging system. Committee members are volunteers from a wide range of experiences specifically required by the measure. My expertise on the committee is civil engineering. Measure RR was passed to collect $3.5 billion in bond funds for this program. The purpose of the committee is to ensure expenses are consistent to commitments made to the voters. Our target goal of the Better BART rebuilding program is to make the system safer and more reliable and to reduce traffic.
