The Cincinnati Film Society’s mission is to expand access and appreciation of motion pictures as a form of powerful artistic expression. We encourage sociocultural diversity by exploring cinema and its history, providing youth education, and services to entrepreneurial filmmakers.An important technique of filmmaking is animated filmmaking. In 2017 The Cincinnati Film Society started their Animation program with the goal of bringing culture and current news to Cincinnati as well as giving animators in Cincinnati opportunities to learn, grow and succeed.The Animation Program Director is responsible for initiating one time and recurring events, screenings, and festivals; manages and writes budgets; manages and recruits members; works with volunteers to achieve program goals; seeks sponsors and funds both for the Cincinnati Film Society and for the Animation program; develops content for the animation blog; maintains the program website; assists other programs of the Cincinnati Film Society with attaining their goals.
