I’m current teaching English Language Arts to freshmen at Oregon City High School. I’ve focused on building strong relationships with my students and fostering a safe and inclusive environment where diversity is respected and all types of learning are supported. I’ve built my own lesson plans and units with a focus on adhering to state standards while making the material engaging, enriching and diverse in order to keep students’ interest high. The best part of working with these students has been having the time to truly get to know the students and incorporate their interests and passions into my lessons.
