About Darcee Kilsdonk

My passion is serving vulnerable populations through programs which lift and teach. My values that drive my decision-making are future generations and social justice. Most recently, I\'ve worked in Head Start programs aimed at preparing low income children for success in kindergarten by preparing both the child and the family to be the best they can be. I\'ve also worked in the field of special education teaching children with multiple handicaps, and especially those with mental illness and behavior disorders, to navigate the educational system successfully. I\'ve led special projects on reducing tobacco use in low income families (American Legacy Foundation), identifying foster care placements for children who need special placements and working with child care providers to increase their quality by partnering with Head Start programs (EHS-CCP). I enjoy training in an engaging fashion, while using humor to break the ice! At home, I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, travel and being on the water. I have a goldendoodle named Benny, am married to the love of my life and have three grown kids and six grandkids.
