Daphne is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft\'s Office of the CTO, where she focuses on research, development, and business strategy for emerging technology. She is passionate about creating and adapting new technology for real-world applications for social good. She continues research and learning roles at Stanford University and Princeton University.Prior to joining the Office of the CTO, Daphne was a software engineer at Microsoft Mixed Reality Cloud, where she developed systems and SDKs enabling enhanced PC experiences on VR/AR devices, conducted and applied AI research for VR/AR computing platforms, worked as a tech lead and people manager for software engineers, researchers, and technical writers, and collaborated with cross-company enterprise partners. At Microsoft Machine Learning and Synthetic Data, she developed embodied AI robotics systems for active perception, from synthetic data generation to end-to-end object classification and NeRF model reconstruction on robotic platforms. At Azure IoT, she developed full-stack frontend UI and backend telemetry web features on IoT Central and Azure Event Grid. At Meta’s Facebook Marketplace, she developed app and web features shown to improve customer satisfaction and buyer trust for 1 billion+ users. At NASA, she analyzed and managed mission data for an adverse conditions system for critical mission safety validation. Additionally, she has worked in various start-up, open-source, and non-profit environments towards community projects.Daphne’s research and development experience across Microsoft, Stanford University, Princeton University, and AI4ALL spans topics including meta-cognitive agent orchestration and evolutionary algorithms, computer-using agents, vision-language-action models, multi-agent reinforcement learning, bayesian inference modeling human and artificial intelligence, synthetic data generation for robotic activate perception, mechanically intelligent modular robotic systems, virtual and physical reality spatial interactions, multi-modal sensing and learning, and CS and AI education.
