In my role as Journalism Coordinator for the LGBTQI+ Reporting Initiative, I developed and implemented training programs aimed at improving media reporting of LGBTQI+ issues across the region. Key achievements include- Training over 360 journalists and 400 editors in inclusive reporting techniques, significantly improving story accuracy and representation- Mentoring media outlets, resulting in the publication of over 230 impactful stories that challenge stigma and promote understanding- Collaborating with advocacy groups to create resources that improved newsroom diversity, fostering a more inclusive media landscape.My expertise in programme development, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis has driven our mission to create equitable journalism.
