ABOUT DANYELE HEIER

Danyele Heier, a Public Policy Professional, is dedicated to using data driven observations to support program development and implementation within the federal government. Currently, Danyele serves as a Management and Program Analyst at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce.Previously, she served as a Management and Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce in the Office of the Secretary. As part of the Commerce Implementation Coordination Office (CIC), she worked alongside senior advisors and analysts to implement Commerce\'s billion in above-base programs including Internet for All, Tech Hubs, and additional programs funded by the CHIPS and Science Act, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). She supported Commerce\'s implementation lead for NOAA\'s $6 billion BIL and IRA programs to ensure communities across the United States could access grants for climate resilience, tribal priorities, and habitat restoration. Danyele is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia\'s Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy. During her time at the university, she worked alongside faculty and her peers to uplift underrepresented voices on grounds. She served as the President of the Undergraduate Black Law Student Association, Director of Undergraduate Student Relations for Black Student Leaders in Policy, and Student Fundraiser at Cavalier Connect. Throughout her undergraduate career, Danyele executed numerous projects on economic policy, social policy, and health policy.As a dedicated civil servant, Danyele is passionate about ensuring disenfranchised communities are not only put at the forefront of proposed solutions, but are actively involved in every step of the public policy process.
