ABOUT DANY PINEAULT

I’m a clinical audiologist, educator, and published author with over 25 years of experience specializing in tinnitus, hyperacusis, and musical hallucinations. I developed and teach the only 10-week course in North America dedicated to tinnitus and hyperacusis management at A.T. Still University and created a mini-course with Pacific Audiology Group to help clinicians expand their expertise in this complex area. My work has been featured in Canadian Audiologist and The Hearing Journal, and I co-hosted a tinnitus podcast for clinicians with Widex Canada, available on YouTube.I regularly deliver webinars, invited talks, and workshops for professional and public audiences, translating research and clinical insights into practical strategies that clinicians can apply immediately. My work emphasizes the intersection of auditory symptoms and mental health, exploring how stress, emotional well-being, and life experiences influence tinnitus and hearing care. This perspective informs my teaching, treatment approaches, and the clinical frameworks I have developed, including the Iceberg Model of Bothersome Tinnitus.I am passionate about advancing evidence-based, person-centered tinnitus and hearing care that elevates mental-health awareness and supports clinicians in providing thoughtful, compassionate care. My goal is to help patients feel understood, validated, and empowered to improve their daily lives.I deliver international talks, workshops, and collaborative initiatives focused on tinnitus and hearing care, and the intersection of auditory symptoms and mental health, helping organizations advance clinician knowledge, patient care, and research translation. I also contribute in advisory and consultative roles where clinical, educational, and research perspectives can inform program development and service delivery.
