WORK HISTORY
Director @Horserenity Cic
Blandford Forum, GB
Horserenity is an Equine Assisted Learning centre set up as a social enterprise - Community Interest Company. It was founded by my wife, Sarah, in April 2017 from a centre in the North Dorset countryside. It now occupies 20 acres of Kites Farm with a herd of 12 gentle horses. The team work with children, young people and adults who are struggling and in crisis. The horses are in a natural herd and can act as our guides. Horserenity CIC supports individuals, families and groups with a range of mental health issues including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) anxiety and lack of confidence. Connections are built with the horses on a fundamental emotional level, guiding and helping the individuals and groups to achieve ambitions and the chance of successful, rewarding lives. This includes the delivery of nationally recognised qualifications. We are now offering this innovative form of learning to businesses and organisations for team and leadership training. In July 2024 I joined Sarah and the team full time to support the development of Horserenity CIC in the role of Assistant Equine Fecal Pathway Navigator.
