I’m a senior software engineer and tech lead with over a decade of experience building reliable, scalable, and thoughtfully engineered products, primarily in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, but always with a willingness to learn whatever a problem genuinely demands.My work spans safeguarding platforms used across UK schools, large‑scale tenancy‑management systems for letting agencies, and data‑driven applications for organisations like NHS England and various multi-academy trusts. I’ve led teams, owned backend architectures, delivered complex integrations, and helped organisations modernise their development practices through CI/CD, trunk‑based development, and test‑driven approaches.I’m at my best when solving real-world problems with clean, maintainable code and collaborative engineering. Whether I’m designing APIs, integrating with third‑party systems, or guiding a team through a tricky migration, I care about clarity, correctness, and long‑term sustainability.Outside of work, I enjoy coding as a hobby, have contributed to open‑source projects, and built small tools for myself and groups of friends.
