Ensure sound processes and tools are in place to accurately record and report the activity of the multiple operating entities of the company in Canada are in place, maintained, and monitored- As part of the integration process, develop and implement financial systems, policies (GAAP/IFRS), controls (governance, segregation of duties), and procedures (timely closes and account reconciliations) to ensure timely and accurate reporting of the Business Unit’s results for statutory, tax, and managerial purposes- Prepare and coordinate financial reports, ensuring compliance with government regulations (compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirement and company policy)- Collaborate with the business leaders to provide information, insights and analysis to business activity and trends to ensure optimal results and growth are achieved- Collect and measure financial data to analyze financial performance and present findings to management. Work with management to coordinate and prepare annual budgets, budget processing, and forecasts- Actively participate and lead business transformation projects to achieve operational improvements and alignment with general processes and procedures followed by the rest of the entities within the group, such as the adoption of a common ERP and amalgamation of various legal entities to drive efficiencies through simplification and standardization- Recruit, train, and manage accounting personnel and perform ongoing evaluations. Establishing short and long-range departmental goals; and maintaining an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals.
