Mapbox\'s Frontend Platform team solves shared problems so that other teams can build web pages and applications more efficiently, effectively, consistently, and collaboratively. As an engineer on this team, I work across the company to understand the problems our frontend engineers face, then work with them to build solutions, improve existing pipelines, tweak processes, or just put our heads together to troubleshoot a problem. I build shared React components, Node modules, and command line tools; write lots of documentation; and traverse the wide world of AWS services in the Mapbox org. I help sweat the details of Mapbox\'s frontend, working on tools to manage redirects or improve the ergonomics of interacting with our internal APIs. Perhaps most importantly, the frontend platform team strives to provide resources that help all frontend engineers at Mapbox cultivate the expertise they need to build better web pages, applications, and tools.
