ABOUT DAN ROST

I am a Senior Manager at Urish Popeck, an accounting and consulting firm based in Pittsburgh that offers a wide range of business solutions to public and private clients. I previously spent 10 years with EY in their risk consulting practice, where I specialized in transforming internal audit functions into teams of value-add business advisors. During this time, I helped lead some of the firm’s largest outsourced internal audit engagements and learned the value of bringing resources from the entire firm to help best serve my clients.Thanks to Urish Popeck’s wide range of affiliated entities and alliances beyond its traditional accounting and advisory services, I’ll be able to continue acting as a “connector” to help businesses - larger and small - solve their most pressing challenges even when I cannot directly help. I graduated from Penn State in 2014 with undergraduate degrees in both accounting and finance and a masters degree in accounting. In 2016, I became a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania after receiving the Elijah Watts Sells Award for outstanding performance on the CPA Exam. Outside of work I am an avid Pittsburgh and Penn State sports fan. My passions include my faith, family, personal financial coaching and travel. I also have a goal of expanding my real estate holdings into a standalone business in the next five years.
