   Launched Confidential VMs; first to market to provide this ground-breaking hardware that provides encryption of data in-use with keys that Google does not have access to by simply checking a box when spinning up a VM. Launched Confidential GKE; building on top of Confidential VMs, but with additional support for stateful and long-lived workloads using next-gen persistent disk hardware and drivers. Launched Shielded VMs; this hardened VM provides boot protections at no cost to the customer, we were able to make it the default scenario across linux distros and now accounts for > 90% of core compute hours in GCP. Launched Ubiquitous Data Encryption with security vendor partners to provide split trust (leveraging multiple key providers in a Shamir Secret Sharing construct) for encryption key management, with protections to maintain usage of encryption for data at-rest, in-transit, and in-use, for which the team received a patent. Partnered with UX Research and Product Marketing, founding a Customer Learning Group that meets quarterly with customers to provide both live examples and discussions for people looking to adopt cutting-edge Confidential Computing technologies. Responsible for annual planning, with principles to bridge between strategy shifts as a “startup” and the long lead times when building new silicon and associated platform components. Created and led team across Google Ads and GCP with c-suite visibility to provide a privacy-preserving, secure and encrypted untrusted multi-party compute solution, publicly known as Confidential Space. Led cross-functional deep dives to improve customer experiences and adoption of cloud products as a product funnel exercise. Used to set appropriate prioritization and quickly respond to customer needs across cloud org.
