About Dan Perez
Dan started Dan\'s Video Creations in the Spring of 2006 and has produced videos for Nicklaus Children\'s Hospital in Miami, National Kidney Foundation, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, United Way, University of Miami and many others. In early 2008, Dan completed his first documentary film,\"The Motivator: The Business of Selling Hope\" which went on to win the \"Director\'s Choice\" Award at the 2008 Rincon International Film festival. Dan launched \'Dan Perez Films\' later that year. Dan\'s second film,\"P.A.T.H.\"(which stands for Preserving, Archiving and Teaching Hip-Hop History), won the \"Best Florida Film\" award at the 2010 Sunscreen Film Festival. The award was presented to him by John Travolta himself. Dan\'s next film,\"V.A.C.C. Camp: Camp Can-Do\" premiered at the 2012 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and took home the 3rd place prize in the Feature Documentary category at the 2013 ReelHeART International Film Festival. Dan\'s latest projects are two short documentary films,\"Angels with Shoes\" which won the \"Best International Short\" and \"Audience Choice\" awards at the 2015 Rincón International Film Festival and \"GRAFSTRACT: The Bronx Street Art Renaissance\" which won the \"Best Street Art Film\" award at the 2015 New Urbanism Film Festival in Los Angeles and has screened at film festivals in 12 countries. Dan\'s photography work has also received recognition. His photograph,\"Father and Daughter\" was named one of five winners (out of submissions) in the Flickr \"Your Best Shot\" Photography Competition. That same photograph received \"Honorable Mention\" distinction in the Monochrome Awards International Black and White Photography Competition and another of his photographs was selected as part of the “Gratitude & Joy” photography exhibit hosted by Pompano Beach Arts and Bailey Contemporary Arts.
