Unit44 is a warehouse gallery space established to show case some of the finest international and contemporary street artists on the planet. With an international host of artists that boasts the likes of Roa (Belgium), Shepard Fairey (USA), INSA (UK), Stormie Mills (WA) to name but a few. We have had the pleasure of hosting solo shows, one off pop up events in abandoned spaces, international installations, festivals, collaborations, releases, merchandise, clothing, commissions, and murals. The Unit44 space has been used for photo shoots, to create original bodies of work, to host new friends, and to showcase old ones. Responsibilities As gallery curator it was my job to seek out established international artists along with giving platform to emerging ones. To work on campaigns that span months and years in both the press, content, and exposure. To strategically execute events, secure funding, and pitch for commissions. Budget handling, yearly planning, artist liaison, logistics, sponsorship raising, PR, Social media campaigns, web management, and again team organisation. Partnered activity include Urban Outfitters, Red Bull, Kopparberg, Canal Mills, Gibb St Warehouse, Tokyo Industries, Soleheaven, and Shindig.
