About Danny Feeman
My professional career started in the United States Marine Corps as an explosive detection Dog Handler, Chief Trainer, and Kennel Master stationed at the White House Military Office, where I supported the Diplomatic Mission of the US Presidency under two administrations. During my time at the White House, I was blessed to travel around the world (5 continents, 30+ countries, and 40+ US States) where I worked with local authorities and NGOs to ensure the safety of not only the President but the entirety of each of these communities. As the Chief Trainer and Kennel Master I oversaw the training, development, and deployment of Military Working Dog Teams (handler and dog). While both of these roles were overwhelmingly rewarding it was my time as a handler that I cherished most. Over my five year tour of duty I was paired with two dogs; Kelly and Kepie. They each taught me to listen, to act intentionally, and most of all that our voices and words carry meaning. It was at the K-9 School House that I realized my passion for learning new approaches and my curiosity for how to motivate individuals (even dogs) – finding new and fun ways to develop dogs, handlers, and teams. It was there I realized that even different species could find incredibly poignant ways to communicate with each other. That realization has filled me with an endless optimism for each person I cross paths with because I know how much we can learn from each other; if only we can find a way to communicate. Although there were many steps along the way, that realization and passion have remained the bedrock of my career. In my free time I seek out purpose by volunteering for disaster relief, coaching Veterans, and serving as an 81Cents advisor, where I help women close the pay gap one negotiation at a time. I enjoy helping those in a transition define and realize success while preparing for the responsibility that success will inevitably bring. My name is Danny – I’m usually smiling, if not laughing, because for a short time someone paid me to learn from a dog. Always feel free to reach out.
