   My objectives in Towing Trailers Safely are:1. The basic concepts of attaching trailers to trucks.2. How to calculate weights on combination Truck and Trailer for safe towing.3. What the terms payload, CVWR, GTWR and curb weight mean.4. How all the parts of a hitch system work together.5. What information is needed before purchasing Trucks and Trailers for you fleet.6. How to set up and inspection program before a Truck and Trailer enters the highway.7. The training newly hired employees need before assigning the task of towing.I have worked in the field of Safety for, forty one years, performing training and developing training programs and curriculum. Thirty five of those years was with the largest public owned electric utility in the United States. I am currently traveling through out the United States and Canada offering my training workshops on Towing Work Trailers Safely. I also am a speaker at many conferences. I bring my training to you at your location(s) for a reasonable cost. Over 400 people are killed each year and over people suffer life threatening injuries due to work trailers becoming unattached for the vehicles that are towing them. Most of these accidents can and will be prevented with proper training. Contact me to discuss booking my workshop. Workshops can last 3 to 4 hours. I also offer doing a walk down of your trailer fleet while I am at your location. I hardly ever do a walk down that most of the trailers do not fail inspection. I will give you advise on setting up a trailer inspection program. I suggest a refresher training every two years for newly hired employees. I also have an abbreviated speech I offer for conferences.
