Previously was a producer and correspondent for Vice News. Extensively covered the Middle East, most notably the Syrian conflict and the war against the Islamic State from Turkey, Syria and Iraq. Additionally, has reported in Ukraine, Burma, Central African Republic, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, El Salvador, Trinidad & Tobago, Gaza, Burundi, Rwanda, Costa Rica and others. Has produced and served as a correspondent for both full length documentaries and breaking news dispatches and was part of the team that launched Vice News. Previously was a Ford International Fellow at the International Center for Journalists with a focus on Buddhist and Muslim tensions in Burma, and won a Webby for The Fight Against Ebola, a half hour doc on Liberians trying to stop the spread of Ebola.
