ABOUT DANNY ESSIX

A father and entrepreneur, Danny Essix is the Founder and CEO of Jumpball Apparel, an urban basketball clothing line. His passion for the game and desire to revolutionize the game inspired him to create JumpBall Apparel a brand that has grown to become a household name in the world of basketball fashion since its founding.Essix was born on the 22 of August 1971 in Milford Delaware, to Miss Shirley Jean Essex. He had his early life in and around Florida moving from Delaware to Pompano and Ft. Lauderdale. As an active, adventurous and daring kid, he took part in different activities including jump boarding, bike riding and sliding down huge hills with friends.He began playing basketball at just 8 years old but his love for the game became predominant when he attended Seminole Middle School. Breaking through the ranks he took the school team to Championships, and he helped them become the second best team in Florida, at the age of 16. He became one of the top three scorers and rebounders for Nova high school in Davie, Florida and simultaneously became one of the top running backs for their football team. Essix was able to combine excellent grades with astounding athletic skills and abilities.Essix also shares a love for culinary arts and the kitchen, working in over 50 different restaurants and also mastering and developing his business side. The love for basketball never left him, and in 2007, an And1 mixtape was all it took for Danny to retrace his steps and blend his business skills with his love for basketball.Essix through the creation of Jumpball Apparel has provided a perfect blend of fashion and basketball, thanks to his deep knowledge of the game and his passion for excellence. He has worked along the side of some of his biggest mentors such as Raven Hughes-friend who helped design the logo, Coach Ron Spadola,(coach from Seminole Middle) Bob Jackson neighbor from Fort Lauderdale)
