I am a first-generation college student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in International Development StudiesAs a underrepresented minority student who grew up in South LA, my parents would constantly work 2-3 jobs in order to keep our family of 5 afloat. It is through my parent\'s sacrifice, where I learned the value of hard work and compassion. This is why I am determined and motivated to learn from ambitious professionals, specifically the tech industry, in order to use the knowledge they give me to one day give back to my community.When I\'m not pursuing academics or my future career, I enjoy playing guitar and binge-watching the marvel series.
