About Danny Barrett

Born and raised in Pacifica, California, I went to Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in downtown San Francisco where I played football for the school. I have two older brothers, both of whom attended SHCP and played football. The three of us all played rugby throughout high school for San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club, located on Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay. I, like my brothers, continued my rugby and studies at the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in American Studies. As a five year lettering Varsity student-athlete at Cal, I garnered four USA Rugby Collegiate All American Honors, two undefeated National Championship seasons in which I played alongside one of my brothers, a Collegiate Rugby Championship Sevens National Championship, as well as playing with some of the top players in American rugby. I have gone on to continue my playing career back where it started with SFGG as well as a call up to the Senior Men\'s USA National Team in October 2013 with a chance to continue on with the USA.
