Crawlspace Theatre Productions includes the flagship improv team Crawlspace Eviction. Crawlspace Eviction started in August of 2003 and has been providing monthly comedy shows and comedy for hire ever since. Crawlspace Eviction can be hired for any event that can be livened up with live and customized comedy. We\'ll perform a show specifically for the audience that we\'re hired to entertain, focussing on their interests and helping them celebrate whatever the event is designed to celebrate.Crawlspace Eviction was also a critical production component to the 2006 feature film Comic Evangelists, which premiered at the 2006 AFI Fest in Hollywood, receiving critical and popular recognition for its unique comedic approach.In 2008, Crawlspace Theatre Productions produced 2 additional improv teams: the comedy duo t&a, Tara Sytsma and Adam Carter\'s hilarious high energy character driven improv team; and Kind of Pretty Women, a team that excels in creating original sketches that examine life from a keen alternate perspective as well as performing sharp and hilarious shortform improv.In 2009, Crawlspace Theatre Productions co-produced the first Kalamazoo Improv Festival, welcoming local teams as well as Chicago performers to share the stage in a celebration of the art of improv. The festival received overwhelming success, and continues to be a highly anticipated event. Crawlspace Theatre Productions has set a goal to create an active and growing improv community in the greater Kalamazoo area. A goal that is seeing increased success each year.
