In the summer of 2018, I started a new career endeavor into the industry of Transportation/ Trucking. My only employer in this industry is and remains to be Hirschbach Motor Lines.Prior to recruiting, I spent over a decade in social work while obtaining a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology. I went in blindly to the trucking industry, hardly knowing what a Class A license was. Over a short period of time, I ascertained knowledge about recruiting and the trucking industry. What I love about this industry is that it is ever-changing and evolving. I love how blunt, straight forward, and transparent drivers are. I love that every day I get to open the door for drivers that are looking for a CAREER with us. In recruiting I am the first impression for a candidate that is seeking out a new carrier. At Hirschbach, recruiters sell an amazing opportunity and package to experienced drivers. I feel as though I am successful at what I do every day because: I am driven, thorough, organized, honest and engaging. I have maintained my success by networking, overcoming objectives, problem solving, understanding new changes and benefits, and getting to know my drivers and colleagues to attain and retain drivers. I am very blessed to be with such an amazing carrier- that puts drivers first, maintains a solid customer base, and unites their entire team. Our culture is a “work hard play hard” and “all in” philosophy where every member of the family works together!On a personal level, I am a mother of a young (but growing very quickly) boy. We live in Sioux City, IA. When I am not working or with family, you can usually find me at the gym. Fitness is and has been my self-care over the last 8 years; I have found benefit in it both mentally and physically. I look forward to the networking and knowledge that will come with this community platform!
