Currently employed as shift electrician pertaining to maintaining production of a kraft pulp mill consisting of three boilers, three turbogenerators and their respective precipitators along with the process in creating premium kraft pulp Started out on maintenance consisting of general electrical PM’s relating to steam plant, chipyard, bleach/brown fibreline and machine room operations Troubleshooting of electrical systems including Flame Safety Systems, Basler Electric generator excitation systems, Clyde-Bergemann precipitator controllers, GE Proficy software and GE Fanuc 90-70/rx7i/rx3ii/Versamax/Genius Block PLC systems along with Arrow/Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley VFD’s to maintain mill operation and resolve equipment failure as sole electrician on weekends/evenings Decommissioning/construction and commissioning of mill equipment upon failure and replacement Maintaining communication and relationships with mill trades/operators/management and steam plant engineers to optimize the mill’s continuous operation through preventative maintenance and solving breakdowns Captain on mill emergency response team
