About Dannae Sewell

Early childhood education is not what I do, it is who I am to my core. What better opportunity to honor and support children, families and especially educators. Teaching educators how to become better teachers is at the forefront of all I do. I empower others to create a spirit of teamwork and partnership through a combination of enriching experiences for children, families and educators. I believe the holistic approach to success is consistency, transparency, accountability and collaboration. In the right environment children, families and educators can flourish. It is my job to support all the moving pieces to create that environment.

   As the Early Childhood Initiatives Officer, I get the unique opportunity to serve as a member of the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) leadership team. This looks like working with the Executive Director to carry out a shared vision for excellence in professional learning and higher education for early childhood professionals. Centralized is strategic planning to identify community partners across the state to facilitate data collection, mentoring, and support. For me, there is nothing more important than strengthening the early childhood workforce through career support, advocacy, and strategy.
