Leads the strategy, operations, and advocacy of a 500+(businesses) member trade association with a mission of protecting the American Dream of home ownership and home rentership in the Greater Richmond Region-Spokesperson for the regional land development and residential construction industry to educate stakeholders and the public on evolving land and construction supply pipelines; chief liaison to external partners including media – private, public, government, education and nonprofit sectors-Serves as author and/or editor of all association communications/publications, including speeches and media-Represents membership priorities and negotiates with local governing bodies on regulatory and legislative matters impacting land-use, zoning, economic development-Develops relationships with other organizations of influence to join forces-Executes and fundraises the association’s BuildPAC and HousingRVA PAC programs-Produces monthly builder report and county [rezoning] scorecard; works with external economic data resources to create compelling narratives that promote and support land development and home building-Leads and rallies ad hoc initiatives to meet changing needs of the industry and association-Produces and oversees multimillion dollar annual budget-Recruits, hires, and builds a high performing team of five plus consultant contractors.
