Dan joined Mortenson in 1988 as an estimator and has held successive roles as project manager, construction executive and director of project development. As vice president and general manager of Mortenson’s Portland office, Dan is responsible for overall strategy development and direction of all facets of the group, including relationship management, preconstruction, construction, business development and community outreach activities. Dan’s leadership is based on a long and successful track record in the industry and first-hand leadership of many large, world-class projects. Trust, communication, and a commitment to meeting customer expectations are his most important attributes.One of Dan’s recent assignment was as Mortenson’s senior representative overseeing Target Field and is now performing in that role on the Union Depot project in St. Paul, Minnesota, Hancher Performing Arts Center and the School of Music at the University of Iowa and the Sioux Falls Event Center in South Dakota. Dan’s experience includes projects such as the Minneapolis Central Library, Target Center, Alerus Center in Grand Forks, Kinnick Stadium Renovation at University of Iowa, and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.
