About Dan Shepard

I graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2007. Shortly before graduation, I accepted a position as a copy editor at the Observer-Dispatch in Utica, N.Y. I spent four years there, with two-and-a-half years as copy desk chief upon promotion. In August 2011, I took a position as a copy editor at the Arkansas-Democrat Gazette in Little Rock. In August 2012, I moved to the Philadelphia area. In February 2013, I became a copy editor at the Philadelphia Daily News. In June 2013, after completing a 12-week editing internship, I joined the paid team at Bleacher Report, working there until February 2017. In September 2014, I switched roles within my company in Philadelphia, moving from the Daily News to Philly.com as a homepage producer. In January 2017, I started as digital editor at the Daily Gazette in Schenectady, N.Y. In March 2018, I joined Student Loan Hero. In July 2018, Student Loan Hero was acquired by LendingTree.
