   We help people with improving their credit scores through credit education and credit repair (also called credit restoration). Most people don\'t realize that it\'s the quantity of derogatory information on their credit reports. What this means is, even derogatory events that occurred up to 7 years ago still hurts their credit score. People often think that if an account (e.g. a collection) is paid off, it no longer hurts their score. What they don\'t realize is, the derogatory information that is hurting the score is the reporting of the historical event which continues to report for 7 years.still hurts their score.whether the account is paid or unpaid.Only through removing these past derogatory events will the credit score have the chance to rise up quickly. Without doing this, people have to wait years (up to 7) for the negative information to finally fall off the report.Getting this derogatory information removed from the report through credit repair dispute methods is what we do. It usually takes from 2 to 6 months to achieve enough removal to achieve customer goals. Of course, giving customers direction on other things they can do to help build their scores is important and often needed to achieve the higher scores (700+). Since most of our customers come to us by referral from loan officers and realtors, we focus on consulting one-on-one with the customer regularly, and keeping the referral partner (loan officer and/or realtor) in the loop of communication. so we are all on the same page.
