Analytics Developer and Reporting Analyst @Deutsche Bank

Working within Deutsche Bank’s Trust and Agency Services (TAS) Analytics Team, within the Corporate Bank, as an Analytics Developer and Reporting Analyst, with particular emphasis on improving regulatory reporting processes. This involves working with the bank’s in-house applications, business analysis of these systems, identifying shortfalls and relevant solutions, working with third-party developers and the in-house corporate tech team towards implementation of these solutions, and creating and maintaining user and technical documentation of these systems. The main technologies that I use in my day-to-day activities are MS SQL Server, VBA for both MS Excel and Access, SSIS using C# scripting, and SSRS.We have multiple data sources and methods of data transformation, and are currently looking at consolidating both the processing and data elements of these into a strategic and scalable solution across several databases and user interfaces, depending on the use case and the lineage of the data.In addition to the technical elements of my role I have also had to become more cognisant and involved in the regulatory requirements of corporate banking. In this way, the role differs from my previous roles within Deutsche Bank, as it moves me closer to these aspects of corporate banking and is improving my knowledge in this area, regarding such directives as MiFID II Safeguarding Client Assets and Funds (SCAF) and the FCA’s Client Assets Sourcebook (CASS) rules, amongst others.
