Provide communication access for D/deaf, hard-of-hearing, and learning-disabled students via TypeWell (both locally and for respected institutions across the country remotely), with specific expertise in both French and German language TypeWell transcribing. As a service provider for university and graduate students as well as corporate clients, this position affords a one-of-a-kind opportunity for unparalleled perspective (with both breadth and depth) into the latest research and best practices across virtually all disciplines-from Architecture, Planning, Banking and Finance, Psychology, Sociology, Political Economy, Climatology, Geology, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mass Communication, Consumer Sciences, Biochemistry, Emergency Management, Education, Construction and Trades, and countless other disciplines. The role of a communication access provider is to accurately and completely interpret presented material into succinct, grammatically-correct ideas while conveying intended meaning and tone. This often involves keeping pace with presenters who speak quickly, with accents, or who use complex terminology and jargon. The result of ongoing exposure to learning, combined with a daily practice of absorbing, interpreting, and communicating information from across the entire range of educational disciplines, is a rare and unmatched perspective of human experience and knowledge. Not only have I become an expert in interpreting and communicating information from a wide range of complex subjects, but I\'ve also gained a breadth of knowledge that would normally necessitate an entire team. And unlike many careers-where 10 years\' experience equals 1 year repeated 10 times-each season brings both broader and deeper knowledge, helping me to approach any complex problem with the resources, creativity and perspective of both a wide angle lens and a macro zoom-all built into one.
