I am a top-performing Global Projects (PMP) and Senior Manager who consistently exceeds expectations and delivers successful results for the organization. When large/complex enterprise-wide challenges or opportunities arise, I am regularly sought out by c-suite executives and asked to lead the organization through the conception of strategies/roadmaps to be rolled out within corporate-wide programs spanning multiple cross-functional global teams. The accumulation of these rich call-to-action opportunities allowed me to be the youngest leader (at Sumitomo) to be steadily promoted and groomed through the ranks of the organization, and be the first asked to transfer from its Americas’ operation and join its corporate headquarter leadership team in Tokyo.(Sumitomo Heavy Industries is a large Japanese conglomerate, with subsidiaries and facilities worldwide). I am proud to have pioneered this change that has become a catalyst for others to follow, and for the organization’s culture to evolve to remain a competitive leader in the global marketplace. These opportunities have prepared me as a well-rounded leader with hands-on experience in nearly every functional area of the organization, and with a proven and consistent track record of promptly adapting and turning around complex situations by building effective and cohesive teams. What makes me unique from others, is the fusion of organizational and leadership discipline complemented by a multicultural and multilingual background (born and raised in Brazil from Taiwanese parents, and currently residing in the USA). I am well-known for being an empathetic and diplomatic leader, as well as a respected team builder and team player on a global scale. Through the many challenges and opportunities that have come my way, I have traveled the world to witness and hear about issues first-hand, connect with people, and to be the main driver for resolving them. Examples of recent responsibilities include leading high-profile enterprise-wide initiatives such as: Global Services Strategy and the integration and launch of Sumitomo’s global website(s). I am currently responsible for leading Digital Transformation (with focus on the front-end of the business and organizational change management) across the organization.
