ABOUT DANIEL ZOBEL
Daniel Zobel studied at the Film University Babelsberg and completed a Fulbright-sponsored international program in Motion Picture Producing at the University of Miami. Since then, he has worked as a producer and director in the international TV and content industry. He has overseen projects for global TV franchises such as Germany’s Next Topmodel, Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars, X-Factor, and Popstars, as well as brand and social media campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for clients including Obi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and arte (for whom he produced the network’s first-ever Snapchat format). In recent years, he served as Head of Show & Factual at DEF Media, where he was responsible for the Grimme Award-nominated ZDF show Music Impossible featuring Conchita Wurst. He then became Head of Development at Hyperbole, a subsidiary of Leonine Studios. Daniel Zobel is currently working once again as a producer at DEF Media, with a focus on Creator & Digital Business. His recent projects include the AI-driven show arte musicverse, the successful RTL+ podcast Family Feelings, and the German adaptation of the hit US YouTube interview format Hot Ones for Tresor TV.
