About Daniel Pack

As a Career Exploration Specialist at Syracuse University Central Career Services, I help students navigate their career journeys and achieve their professional goals. I have over seven years of experience in providing career counseling, resume and cover letter reviews, job and internship search strategies, mock interviews, and workshops on various topics, such as networking, interviewing, and personal branding. I have been passionate about working with international students since I came back to Syracuse University to finish my undergraduate degree in 2011. I began by facilitating English Conversation Groups through our Center for International Students, followed that with one on one sessions with grad students while I was also a grad student, and when I was hired by Central Career Services I immediately began creating programs designed specifically for our international students here at Syracuse. My drive to help our international students led me to join the National Career Development Association\'s International Student Services Committee and participate on numerous subcommittees, and I am currently the Chair of the \"Resources\" subcommittee. In addition, I recently published a book for international students who are new to the U.S, called \"Culture, Communication, and Community: Navigating School, Work, and Belonging in America\" and it\'s available on Amazon. I enjoy empowering students to explore their interests, values, and strengths, and to leverage their skills and education in the changing world of work. I have a Master of Science in Student Affairs Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in English, as well as Psychology, all from Syracuse University. I consider myself a lifelong learner and have pursued many interests, including certifications in Social Media Marketing from HubSpot, and multiple certifications in Generative AI. I believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for students of all backgrounds and identities, and I practice allyship in my work and life.
