Duties include supervising and training facilitators as well as ongoing development of a curriculum for new and expectant fathers. Sponsored by Scripps hospital, this is a grant-funded ($17,840 from First Five Commission of San Diego Innovative Program Grant 2/07-2/09) psychoeducational class which applies social cognitive theory principles to give expectant and new fathers increased self-efficacy regarding key competencies for managing stress and staying involved with their infants as well as their partners. I am also the Principle Investigator of an ongoing research program studying how men adjust to new fatherhood.
