Develops and maintains productive relationships with clients and regulatory agencies. Performs conceptual and detailed remedial system design work, treatment process and cost evaluations, facility inspections.    Peace Corps Response Volunteer Environmental Educator with partner organization Wildlife and Environmental Society of Malawi (WESM).Development of environmental education resources and materials by working with partners to help meet the National Environmental Policy (2004) which states that environmental education shall be taught on a multi-disciplinary basis and integrated into on-going curriculum reviews for all pre-school through tertiary education levels. Collaboration between Peace Corps Malawi and WESM’s environmental education programs to support the effectiveness and sustainability of Wildlife Clubs and other community-based environmental groups. Development and support initiatives that enhance knowledge, attitudes, and positive behavioral changes toward environmental protection and biodiversity conservation throughout Malawi. Initiate and collaborate in workshops and trainings for District Educational Advisors to enhance their effectiveness supporting teachers to integrate environmental education in their classes. Support the development and management of the WESM GIS database.WESM is the leading membership organization promoting, advocating for, and making a visible and measurable difference to the well-informed conservation and sustainable management of wildlife and the natural environment in Malawi. The mission of WESM is to inform and support public participation in the wise use of Malawi’s wildlife and natural environment and always speak up for it in national and local development efforts. WESM has a long history of engagement in wildlife conservation, establishment of reserves and protected areas, community-based resource management, woodlot projects and reforestation, and environmental education. WESM advocates that effective teaching of environmental education is one of the most influential contributors to a prosperous and sustainable life for all Malawians, and for all beings that depend on healthy ecosystems.
