I’m a psychologist, entrepreneur, and the Founder & CEO of Williamsburg Therapy Group (WTG) and the Founder of Lumina Therapy Alliance.I launched WTG in 2012 and grew it into one of the largest private doctoral-level psychology groups in the U.S, with integrated psychiatry and locations in Brooklyn, Austin, and Miami. WTG is known for clinical excellence, innovative care models, and thoughtfully designed spaces that elevate the therapy experience—delivering high-touch care both in person and virtually.I founded Lumina Therapy Alliance in response to the rapid rise of impersonal, venture-backed mental health platforms that prioritize scale, speed, and software over relationships, clinical depth, and the patient experience. As technology and capital flooded the space, the profession—and the people it serves—were at risk of being reduced to transactions.Lumina is a principled alternative: a national collective of elite, independently owned therapy practices committed to in-person, relationship-based care as the gold standard for meaningful healing. Lumina supports employers and workforces by investing in real clinicians, real practices, and real human connection—without stripping practices of their autonomy or identity.Earlier in my career, I served as Executive Director of Mental Health and Director of Substance Abuse Treatment for NYC’s jail system for almost 10 years, overseeing care for 3,500 patients across Rikers Island and the borough jails, including the nation’s largest methadone program.My work centers on scaling serious mental health care—without diluting the profession or losing the humanity at its core.
