👋 hi, i'm Daniel Scott Mitchell. i'm an entrepreneur, engineer, and lifelong learner skilled at turning bold ideas into reality. 🚀 i’m co-founder of Takton, where we’re building fast, affordable manufacturing tech products. i’ve been building businesses since i was a kid, running side hustles to pay my way through school, & i never really stopped. since then, i’ve built & scaled multiple startups, including raising a 6-figure micro search fund instead of going to business school (i call that my "DIY MBA"). ⚙️ i previously led hardware & software product development at Rivian across both consumer & commercial vehicles. i then led a team that saved 9 figures in at-risk revenue by solving Rivian's toughest supply & manufacturing challenges. before that, i worked on Gigacast R&D at Tesla & helped bring the Formlabs Fuse 1 from concept to production. 🧠 finally, i believe everything is "figureoutable" if you’re willing to dig in. i co-host The Next Byte, a top 3% podcast making deep tech simple & fun. my other intellectual pursuits include studying mechanical engineering, chairing a 7-figure sustainability fund, publishing award-winning nanotech research, & reading historical biographies. p.s. my phone number’s on my profile for real personal connections, not sales bots. please don’t use it for sales outreach or marketing. that’s a TCPA violation and i’ll report it.
