ABOUT DANIEL BENJAMIN
Hi, I\'m Daniel, a mechanical engineering student at UBC actively seeking opportunities to contribute to the engineering industry through a summer 2026 co-op position. My interest in engineering is founded in the exploration of cutting-edge technologies. Since a young age, I found myself drawn to breakthroughs in the domains of robotics, prostheses, and EVs. This intellectual curiosity serves as the driving force behind my commitment to advancing within the Mechanical Engineering landscape. At UBC, I\'m proud to contribute my skills and knowledge as part of the UBC Formula Electric Design Team. This experience allows me to bridge the theoretical concepts I\'m learning in class with practical applications and has been instrumental in developing my collaborative skills in an engineering workspace. Working win a diverse and talented team has provided me valuable insights into how effective teamwork, problem-solving, and clear communication can help a team reach new heights. My adaptability is one of my best attributes, as it has given me the ability to gain a strong foundation in the technical skills and industry tools I am learning, such as SolidWorks and MATLAB. Through coursework and hands-on experiences, I continually refine these capabilities, aiming to apply them to real-world engineering challenges. Looking ahead, my aspirations lean towards Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on contributing to technological advancements. Whether it in be in the design of robotics, innovative prostheses, or pioneering new EV solutions, I am eager to make a meaningful impact. I am excited to network and collaborate with individuals who share a similar passion for engineering and innovation, and I I look forward to establishing meaningful connections and contributing positively to the engineering community.
